In response to the recent tragedy in Haiti, many members of the Peace Corps community are finding ways to contribute to relief efforts. Whether they are giving monetary donations, organizing charitable events, or working as staff or volunteers on the ground- the larger Peace Corps community has shown a great resolve to take part in Haiti's recovery.
To keep you updated on such efforts being made in our community we will be regularly updating this page with information on the progress in Haiti and how you can get involved.
Express Your Condolences
The National Peace Corps Association recently posted an online petition that allows members and friends of the Peace Corps community to leave messages of condolence for the people of Haiti.
We will be collecting your messages of condolence through Monday, February 15th and will deliver them to the Haitian Embassy in Washington shortly thereafter.
Please take a moment to add your name and provide your message. Please forward this link to others.

Donating
As many people continue to leave Port-au-Prince to find relief in different regions of the country, Haiti RPCV, Lenny Teh cautions anyone interested in making donations to target hospitals and Health NGOs in these regions where the large influx of patients is stretching resources dangerously thin. Lenny recommends:
For anyone who is grappling with the question of which organization to give to, try using Charity Navigator, a renowned independent charity evaluator that ranks the efficacy of charities. They have already compiled a list of Charities for the crisis in Haiti.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
